Find Your Snowboard Level

Use the following to work out the snowboard level of yourself and anyone else in your group.

Adults (15 Years +) & Private Lessons

First TimerNever snowboarded before.– Getting comfortable with the equipment, balancing on flat terrain, sliding and skating with one foot strapped in, stance and basic movement, learning to stop safely, and introduction to side slipping.

BeginnerYou’ve tried snowboarding once or twice and know the very basics.– Build confidence, control speed on gentle green runs with side slipping (falling leaf and basic garlands moving toward proper turns), ride beginner lifts comfortably, and start beginner turns.

IntermediateYou are beginning to turn and starting to make turns of a variety of sizes and stop where you want.– Progress to towards blue runs, develop more dynamic riding with a variety of turn shapes, improve edge control and balance, start building speed with confidence, and prepare for steeper and more varied terrain.

AdvancedYou ride most blue runs and some red runs comfortably with good speed control on groomed snow.– Refine technique for carving short, medium, and long-radius turns, tackle steeper red and black runs, ride confidently in variable conditions (moguls, powder, choppy snow), explore switch riding, and take on natural features or terrain parks.
